摘要
We demonstrate a cryogenic cooled Yb:YAG disc laser amplifier with V-shape and active-mirror configuration, end-pumped by InGaAs laser diode array. It consists of a cryogenic Yb: YAG regenerative amplifier and an additional six-pass Yb: YAG disc amplifier. Performances of the laser amplifier at low temperature over a range of 80-280 K are investigated theoretically and experimentally. A maximum output energy of 442 mJ, 10 ns pulses at a 10 Hz repetition rate is obtained for the laser in six-pass amplification at 120 K temperature; the corresponding optical-to-optical efficiency is 17.3%.
