摘要：
File describe only the second reported case of ulcerative colitis to develop autoimmune haemolytic anaemia following previous subtotal colectomy. After an unsatisfactory trial of corticosteroids and azathioprine, the haemolysis responded to splenectomy and removal of rectal stump and anal canal.
