Ag wire explosion in water - a potential source of coherent soft X-ray radiation

摘要
The paper introduces the apparatus with exploding wire in liquid, as well as its radiation extraction into vacuum detection part. Then the first experiments with Ag-wire explosions in water are described, namely the time dependences of the discharge current, and the radiation emission in EUV (measured by vacuum XUV photodiode) as well as in visible range (measured by PIN photo diode) are presented.
