摘要：
A number of studies have analyzed project success factors, yet the literature lacks a complete categorization of the variety of factors that impact the success or failure of projects, particularly in the field of sustainable construction. The aim of this study was to develop a theoretical framework for project success factors that impact sustainable construction projects. To that end, the author conducted a survey of practitioners involved in large sustainable construction projects in Lebanon. The answers of 150 respondents from 20 construction-related organizations were analyzed. The success factors were grouped into five categories based on previous research: environmental factors, project-management factors, design and technological innovation factors, project-based and setting factors, and human-related factors. The results can be used as the basis for further detailed investigations of sustainable construction projects in Lebanon and other countries with similar conditions.
