Scattering and polarization of the thermal microwave radiation of the cloudy atmosphere

摘要
Results of the ground based radiometric observations, indicating the presence of significant polarization differences in thermal microwave radiation of the cloudy winter-spring atmosphere are reported. Interpretation of the observational data is carried out on the basis of polarized radiative transfer modeling in the clouds, containing ice crystals and supercooled water drops.
