摘要
In order to detect congestion incident of urban intersection, a new traffic congestion incident detection algorithm for urban intersection based on FCD was proposed. The algorithm considered the impact of urban traffic signal control system on urban traffic congestion, using the time-varying characteristics of GPS positioning, calculate the residence time of the vehicle in the intersection, and combined with the signal timing of intersection to determine whether the intersection is congested. The method has less association parameters and high practical value. This article uses the FCD and the signal control system's parameters of Ningbo city, data validation of the algorithm was established from detection rate and false alarm rate, the results shown that the algorithm can accurately realize congestion alarm and congestion dissipation of intersection. Moreover, the algorithm model is straightforward and is easy to implement.
