80 Gbit/s single-channel transmission over 1200 km of nonzero dispersion fibre with 100 km amplifier spacing

摘要
Pseudolinear transmission of a single-channel 80 Gbit/s signal over 1200 kin of nonzero dispersion fibre with 100 kin amplifier spacing is reported. The result is achieved using distributed Raman amplification, an optimised dispersion map and low polarisation-mode dispersion transmission fibre. The experiment was performed using a 400 kin re-circulating loop.
