Dynamical capture in quantum mechanics

摘要
Using simple time-dependent methods, we study the phenomenon of dynamical capture in non-relativistic quantum mechanics. We show that for time-dependent potentials that are asymptotically constant in time, the probability of an incoming particle becoming trapped in the interaction region is in general non-zero. Capture in a stationary beam is also discussed.
