摘要：
Cloud computing is the blooming technology in the IT world now a days. Cloud computing enables the IT industries to cut down their infrastructural cost by providing its services. Virtualization is one of the primary tools through which cloud computing achieves its goals and live migration in virtual machines brings a lot of advantages like fault tolerance, manageability, performance improvement by reducing the downtime of machines. This paper introduces a pre-copy based live migration technique which not only reduces the downtime of machines but also takes care of the situation when a fault is introduced. The aim is achieved using checkpoint technique.
