摘要
Turbinoplasty is a procedure in which the size of the turbinates is reduced. One of the most common causes for nasal obstruction is hypertrophic turbinates affecting the quality of life and sleep. We present 30 cases with patients admitted in Coltea Clinical Hospital ENT department for hypertrophic turbinates and sleep disorders. Each of the patient underwent an endoscopic examination which confirmed the diagnosis and had the indication for surgery. The lot was divided into 3 groups for each of the method used. The patients we're asked to note the level of pain at 1,3 and 7 days after the surgery using an analog visual scale as reference. Results showed that patients who underwent coblation turbinoplasty had lower pain scores from the first day after the surgery comparative to the ones in the radiofrequency and classic turbinoplasty.
