摘要
The antioxidant activities, compounds of essential oils and the content of phenolic compounds were determined in four species of Pinus. Methanol and essential oil extracts were screened for antioxidant activities by DPPH, metal chelating and power reducing assays. The methanol extracts exhibited higher activities than essential oils. The species P. halapensis showed the highest activity with 93.30 % at concentration of 1 mg/mL in DPPH assay. This plant exhibited the highest activity in power reducing assay. The essential oil of P. brutia showed the highest activity with 94.30 % in metal chelating assay. The highest total phenolic content was calculated in methanol extract of P. nigra (303.3 mg GAE/g). The essential oils were analyzed by GC-MS and beta-pinene, beta-caryophyllene, alpha-pinene and limonene were determined as main components of P. brutia, P. halapensis, P. nigra and P. pinea, respectively. We can suggest that these species should be new natural antioxidant sources.
