COOLING PERFORMANCE INVESTIGATION OF A SYSTEM WITH AN ORGANIC RANKINE CYCLE USING WASTE HEAT SOURCES

In order to obtain electrical energy from various heat sources, cycle of the hydrocarbon component organic fluids instead of water as the fluid used in conventional Rankine cycle, as well as "Organic Rankine Cycle" is called. In this study, the Organic Rankine cycle working from waste heat source is combined with the conventional vapor-compression refrigeration cycle is modeled by a system, the system thermodynamically examined. The modeled system, power generating and cooling fluid which does the work, the organic fluids R600, R600a and R601 were selected which are dry refrigerants. These three selected organic fluid, the system power cycles, the cooling cycle and the total cycle efficiencies are calculated separately, the theoretical parameters affecting system performance was investigated. In addition, these fluids with the organic Rankine cycle of fluid is widely used R245fa are compared. Thermodynamic analysis of the modeled system is the most appropriate fluid is R601.
