A Real-time Performance Monitoring System Based on Data Logging Device for Signalized Intersections

摘要
Most existing traffic signal systems do not monitor or archive traffic system performance data in real time and thus have operational improvement limitations. A system based on intelligent data acquisition device has been successfully developed by National Institute for Advanced Transportation Technology (NIATT) for real-time performance monitoring at signalized intersections. This system is able to collect complete high-resolution detector and signal indication data and generate real-time performance measurements for intersection operations. The application to monitor intersection operations involves macroscopic estimation Of average delay values.
