摘要
The impressive prevalence that depression has had in recent years and the little or no exercise performed by adult population, has made suspect a possible relationship between these variables. A quantitative non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational and explanatory type was developed, applying instruments such as Hamilton Scale, Short Harvard Step Test and a questionnaire with items: Sex, age and whether or not they performed physical exercise. The sample was 22 students both sexes with the objective of establishing the impact of physical exercise on depression. It was determined that 63.6% of students do not exercise, 90.9% have a poor physical condition and 68.2% have depressive symptoms.
