摘要
The graphite intercalation compound with easy low temperature expansion and high expansion volume was prepared by chemical oxidation method using natural graphite flakes, CrO3, CH3NO2 and FeCl3 as raw materials, with the molar ratio of 34:1.5:22:1. The expansion volume of graphite intercalation compounds was 420 mL center dot g(-1) at 300 degrees C and achieved the biggest of 630 mL center dot g(-1) at 800 degrees C. Compared with the traditional GIC (graphite intercalation compound) using H2SO4, HNO3 as inserting agent, the expansion volume of prepared GIC is obviously better. The composition, structure and properties of the graphite intercalation compound were characterized and analyzed by SEM, EDS, FTIR, XRD, TG and VSM techniques.
