Numerical simulation of a spherical Taylor-Couette flow bifurcation by a continuation method

摘要
The steady axisymmetric flow between two concentric spheres with inner one rotating and outer one stationary is further investigated for the gap width of sigma = 0.18. A continuation method is applied to study the bifurcation structure of the discretized governing equations. The resulting Jacobian matrix along with a test function approach is used to locate bifurcation points. A bifurcation diagram of the flow is constructed for Re less than or equal to 1500.
