摘要
The present work investigated the adsorption and mobility (desorption) of Sb(III) on kaolinite using batch experiments. The adsorption of Sb(III) on kaolinite was studied as a function of contact time, pH, ionic strength (I) and initial Sb(III) concentration. Kinetic studies suggest that the equilibrium is achieved within 24 h. The absorption of Sb(III) was strongly affected by changes in I at low ionic strength and unaffected at high ionic strength. The adsorption is strongly dependent on pH and decreases with increasing of pH. Desorption depends on the original suspension pH. The adsorption data fit well the Freundlich isotherm. The thermodynamic parameters determined were the equilibrium constant, K-eq=0.0755, and the Gibb's free energy, Delta G(0)=6.403.
