摘要
A burst dimming controller with primary-side control for electrodeless fluorescent lamp (EFL) electronic ballast is implemented in this paper. The used main circuit is a class D topology with a resonant circuit to form a resonant inverter. Moreover, an 8-bit microcontroller is employed to act as the control core of the system to achieve soft start, burst dimming, and primary-side control feature. In addition, the proposed controller is incorporated with the resonant inverter to enhance the stabilization of the preset lamp current. Finally, the experimental results are used to verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed controller.
