The presented text brings evaluation of snow conditions for skiing on the basis of a range of indicators calculated for individual months, for defined winter seasons (December - February) and for whole winters. For indicators calculation daily data about snow depth measured at 6 a.m. GMT from selected stations of Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) and Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI) networks in the Western Sudetes from 20 winter seasons 1987/88-2006/07 were used. The results showed that snow conditions on the southern slopes of the Western Sudetes are better than on the northern slopes. The main factor influencing snow conditions is morphological exposure of a given site.
