TENDENCIES OF DEVELOPMENT IN CHEERLEADING IN RUSSIA

The purpose of the present research was improvement of the educational-process of athletes and refereeing competitions in cheerling as a kind of sport. Methods and organization of the research. The studies were carried out using a number of methods: 1. analysis of specialized literature on cheerleading and related sports; 2. review (questionnaire, interview); 3. videoanalysis of teams' performance; 4. methods of mathematical statistics. The research was organized and its results were introduction, mostly, in Moscow cheerleading federation. The questionaire was carried out both on the trainter's extra-mural courses and courses for referees and trainers. The researchers interviewed trainers, jury and team members of the Moscow club "Assol"'. 7 member of the constant jury, 13 cheerleading trainers and 24 athletes were interviewed in the research devoted to the problems of refereeing. The research resulted in the following conclusions: 1. As far as trainers and referees (100%) and athletes (96%) consider that the introduction of acrobatics to the cheerleading program does not result in decrease of artistic level of compositions it is assumed that the introduction of acrobatics is useful, promoting more sports direction of the programs. 2. In the respondents' opinion, the matter of objectivization of refereeing is acute. One of the ways of objectivization of refereeing is the system of regulation of deductions for made motor faults and defects of compositions. Both trainers (77% and 62% correspondingly) and athletes (75 and 75%) and referees (75 and 60%) consider it efficient and assume that it will promote increase objectivity of refereeing. Consequently, in the questioned trainers' (100%), athletes' (83%) and referees' (86%) opinion, the rules of refereeing are to be changed with the changes of difficulty of the programs in the cheerleading practice.
