摘要
Community-engaged research is an effective tool to address health care disparities and inequities in lupus care. Community-based participatory research allows the highest degree of community engagement, but may be limited by the challenges associated with long-term funding and implementation. Community-academic partnerships are a feasible way to allow for varying degrees of community engagement and develop sustainable infrastructure. Two examples of community-engaged research in rheumatology are MONARCAS and Lupus Conversations. © 2020 Elsevier Inc.
