摘要
Ferroelectric (FE) materials, which have a MPB, can have a number of enhanced physical properties because of the proximity in free energy of an alternate FE structure. In view of the importance of the physical properties near MPB, it is proposed to present a very brief review on FE properties near MPB and also different types of MPB compositions, perovskites and tungstenbronze (TB) type FE materials. This article includes the reason for enhancement of the dielectric properties near MPB in perovskites, the advantages of MPB compositions of TB over perovskites and phenomenology prediction on FE properties of TB MPB materials.
