High-rate plastic deformation of a copper single crystal under loading by spherical converging shock waves

摘要
A copper single crystal was deformed by spherical converging shock waves. The structure of the recovered specimen was Studied by X-ray diffraction analysis (including back-reflection Laue technique), optical and transmission electron microscopy as well as by the measurement of microhardness along the radius in some radial directions. It is established that the high-rate plastic deformation of a copper single crystal under Such loading proceeds mainly by both crystallographic and non-crystallographic slip.
