摘要：

The article is devoted to the peculiarities of perception of Russian periodicals of the late nineteenth- early twentieth centuries. The education system in the United States. Analyzed awareness, degree of interest, the range of problems and evaluation of US training and organization of educational process in the Russian society. Particular attention is paid to the comparison of the financial, material and technical equipment of educational institutions in the United States and Russia.
