Finite Element Analysis of Fiber Direction effect on Corrugated Box Compression Strength

摘要
The impact of the principle fibers on the boxes' compression strength was decoupled from a number of factors by FEM simulation. The finite-element-model of corrugated boxes ware established in the cases that fiber parallel with corrugated and fiber perpendicular with corrugated respectively. Taking the critical buckling load as criteria, the buckling analysis was carried on both of the models. The results show that the compression strength in the case that the principle fibers perpendicular to the corrugated direction is higher about 24% than that of parallel case.
