摘要
In this practical research, theme park is explored and studied from systems engineering approach. Specifically, the study focused mainly on testing the following hypothesis: First, theme park is a dynamic and complex socio-technical system. Second, the world market of theme park, a supersystem composed of many socio-technical systems, follows the Power Law Distribution. Third, the global theme park market will continue to expand its total pie. And last, advent and adoption of modern technologies, such as AI and VR to various aspects of theme park's system will drive new market growth. The findings of our qualitative, analytic study indicate that all four hypotheses are accepted. Most notably, while the theme park market is mature, it is capable of new market expansion by continuously creating new demands from consumers with adopting innovative technologies for more convenient facilities and more thrilling rides. It is a good starting point to note that a prompt and wise application of up-to-date technologies to socio-technical systems with saturated demands can create new market opportunities as well as growths.
