The Empirical Study on the Relationship Between Research and Development Investment and Enterprise Performance

With the advent of era of information, people have paid more and more attention on the field of technology innovation. This paper is aiming to explore the correlation between research and development (R&D) investment and enterprise performance in the listed entrepreneurial companies in our country. Based on the reference of existing research methods, Shanghai and Shenzhen the two cities owned R&D investment listed companies as a sample, the financial index from 2012 to 2016, to verify the relationship between technological innovation and financial performance using multiple regression model. The results show that, on the whole, there is a significant positive correlation between technological innovation investment and corporate fmancial performance, and the R&D investment of high-tech enterprises has lagging effect on corporate profitability.
