(Solid plus liquid) phase diagram for trans-1,2-cyclohexanediol enantiomer mixtures

摘要：
The melting point phase diagram of the (R, R) and (S, S) enantiomeric forms of trans-1,2-cyclohexanediol was constructed. The diagram shows immiscibility of the two enantiomeric forms when the mole fraction of one of the isomers present is above 0.8. For intermediate compositions a solid solution is obtained. The presence of metastable forms is also shown in the diagram. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
