摘要
Even if lots of image segmentation methods have been proposed in the literature, the image segmentation step is still an unsolved problem. Different authors tried to formalize what a good segmentation procedure is. The most commonly accepted definitions are presented in the first part of this article. We then focus on a visualization method for facilitating the visual comparison of different segmentation results. Next, this technique is applied in a psychovisual evaluation of segmentation results involving many experts in image processing. Last, we used this study in order to compare different supervised evaluation criteria.
