摘要
Post-colonial culture theory, like any kind of theory with vitality, will, in a certain way, be integrated into literature and cultural criticism. The theory not only achieves rebirth like the Nirvana Phoenix but also presents itself as empirical existence. Shi Haijun's new book, Literature Between India and Britain: A Post-Colonial Perspective, with postcolonical theory as a breakthrough point, probes into the mutual influence relationship between Contemporary Indian Literature, Indian Diaspora Literature and Western Literature with reference to specific works of different authors, which turns postcolonial cultural theory into practical literary study and inspires sober-minded contemplation and illumination from readers.
