Polarization of light in optically active absorbing uniaxial crystals

摘要
Some features of light polarization in optically active birefringent uniaxial crystals possessing linear dichroism are studied by the methods of matrix optics. The polarization parameters of eigenwaves and the light transmitted by a crystal are refined. In particular, the case of the isotropic point of linear birefringence in absorbing crystals is analyzed.
