摘要
Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) is defined by the IEEE 802.16. It is an IP based, wireless broadband access technology. This technology can be implemented in 4(th) generation wireless technologies, for Metropolitan Area Network (MAN). The IEEE 802.16 standard includes specification for the Medium Access Control (MAC) and Physical (PHY) layers and is designed to provide broadband wireless access. Performance of the single cell WiMAX networks was simulated in terms of the end-to-end delay, average jitter delay, throughput and Packet drops, by variation of frame interval, packet size, and FFT size. In this paper we analyzed and evaluated the performance of Quality of Service QoS class for Constant Bits Rate (CBR) application with the QualNet simulation tool.
