摘要
Purpose: Although the results of Delorme's operation in some center's reports revealed high recurrence in compare with abdominal rectopexy, in spite of these reports in our study with 16 cases recurrence rate showed as the same as another techniques. Delorme's procedure avoids resection of colon & rectum with low morbidity and mortality and its superior result from a bowel function point of view. Patients and method: 16 patients have been operated between April 2002 to August 2004 with Delorme's technique, 9 female and 7 patient's ages between 11-29. The operation performed in the lithatomy position, a circumferential incision is made 1cm proximal to the apex of the protruding bowel, the redundant mucosa is excised, and denuded muscularis properia is pleated longitudinally. Results: early post operative bleeding in one case, no sepsis, only one case with transit mucosal protrusion after one year, two cases with gas incontinence. Follow up mean time was 2 years. Conclusion: amazingly we hadn't recurrence in this period of time, and this is different from reports of other centers. It is possible because bowel habit & stool frequency is different in eastern populations from western countries.
