Civil construction is one of the industries that most impact the environment due to the relationship between the extraction of raw materials, energy and waste generation. Most works do not use any sustainability criteria. The objective of this research is to carry out a survey of the content of the Course Conclusion Papers - CCPs and of the Pedagogical Course Programs - PCP of Higher Education Institutions - HEIs public civil engineering in the state of Pernambuco, totaling six campuses, in Five HEIs, identifying elements related to environmental sustainability, applied to the teaching of civil engineering. The results showed that only in Five PCPs the term sustainability was found, among 22 citations. The environment was identified in the six PCPs, totaling 86 citations. In the CCPs, prepared by 4 HEIs, which had graduates in 2019.1, the term sustainability was found in 111 citations and the environment, in 152, respectively. It is concluded that there is a need for revision of the PCPs, as well as the incentive to the CCPs in the inclusion of themes that can provide, to future engineers, the correlation of the environment and sustainability areas in a transversal way in the curricular matrices.
