摘要
Our work analyses the voltage response of the excitation system of the generation units of the Baba Hydroelectric Power Plant, which is located in the Los Rios province, Ecuador. We propose a simulation of the generator voltage control and time response by means of computational tools. The results indicate that in certain parameters affects the transient response, that is, the peak time and the stabilization time. The voltage response is sensitive to the values of the proportional control gain. But in terms of the percentage overshoot, the generator voltage is sensitive to the values of the integral control component. Our work opens a new area of research in the electrical sector of Ecuador, in which the response of the excitation and the generator voltage is studied when there are load increases in the National Electricity Transmission Grid of Ecuador.
