An uncommon location of a Meckel's diverticulum mimicking small intestinal duplication cyst

We describe the treatment of a Meckel's diverticulum (MD), approached by laparoscopy in a 6-year-old child come to our attention for bloody and mucous stools and vomiting for two days. The aim of this work was to emphasize how some unusual locations of MD can be challenging in differential diagnosis. Moreover, we want to stress how, also in the pediatric patient, minimally invasive surgery (MIS) is an excellent tool in surgeon's hands to rule out some diagnostic doubts and to treat at the same time many diseases, with reduced surgical stress.
