摘要：
Erosion-corrosion behavior of API pipeline steel was assessed in a 2 g/L sodium chloride (NaCl) solution, purged with carbon dioxide (CO2), as the corrosive medium and aluminum oxide (Al2O3) as the erodent. The corrosion process was monitored using potentio-dynamic polarization and weight loss measurements. Experimental results showed there is a signifcant mutual effect between erosion and corrosion, and signifcant synergism due to the interaction of different erosion and corrosion mechanisms was observed.
