A concept of a teaching laboratory on advanced power electronics systems

摘要
Significant improvements have been done in power electronics components and in the whole area of power electronics systems - structures and control techniques - over the past ten years. This period is also characterised by a massive increase in the use of digital signal processing devices (DSPs) and complex programmable logic devices (CPLDs/FPGAs) to solve a whole series of problems. The software tools are now more power-full and the new communication techniques are implemented in t he whole word. In this paper we present the idea of a virtual teaching laboratory on Advanced Power Electronics Systems (TLAPES), that is going to be implemented. In the laboratory will be carried out experiments about the most important and latest advanced power electronics applications. The experimental work will be completed with exercises and evaluation techniques.
