摘要
Precipitous rise in digital electronics, microprocessors and power electronics based devices has increased the concerns of quality the transmission and distribution systems. Unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) is the most advanced device to improve the power quality at PCC. UPQC is the integration of shunt and series active filters and is able to compensate for almost all kinds of voltage and current problems such as reactive power compensation, harmonic current and voltage compensation, voltage sag/swell mitigation, current and voltage unbalance mitigation etc. manifested in the power system This paper presents the implementation of UPQC for three phase three wire system and the performance is evaluated with distorted source voltage and nonlinear load.
