摘要
This paper introduces a Matlab-based Power System Analysis Toolbox (PSAT) which designed to be able to analyze bifurcation and voltage stability problems in electric power systems, and discusses the basic concepts of saddle node bifurcation (SNB) and limit induced bifurcation (LIB) in power systems. We used the continuation power flow (CPF) method which supplied by PSAT to search the static bifurcation points of WSCC 9-bus system, it was successful to achieve the SNB point and LIB point of the system. The simulation results show that LIB happens before SNB, so it is necessary to consider LIB when conduct power system voltage stability assessment.
