摘要：

The Italian writer Calvino is famous for his energetic and innovative creation. In his works, he tries to create a crystal pattern that differs from the traditional conception of novel and also replaces the linear plots. This pattern not only has subtle structure but. also has many characteristics like self-generating ability and splendid multi-angled reflection. It can satisfy the opening cognitive needs of many readers, accommodate the social multiplication and quick pace in the modern society. It also reflects the author's introspection of the novel, his exploration of the infinite possibilities of the novel itself, and his beneficial attempts to create different styles in the novels.
