Brazilian Housing Public Policies And The Prestational Capacity Of Public Power

The present investigation seeks to describe the main Brazilian public housing policies after the 1988 Federal Constitution, with an emphasis on the State of Piaui. For this, based on the hypothetical-deductive method, we opted for descriptive research, developed based on thematic content analysis. In this way, it initially addressed the decentralization of housing policy and the role of federative entities, in an environment marked by the redemocratization of the country. Then, it turned to the National Housing Policy developed since then, deepening its evolution from the creation of the National Housing System of Social Interest to the creation of the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program. He also dedicated himself to the funds that supply Social Interest Housing and the social housing financing funds in the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program, ending with a reflection on the current policy of access to housing, which has been planned and built in accordance with commercialized way.
