摘要
The aim of this work is to try to set out how new technologies can influence the perception of a museum exposition. The problem which will be analysed is how to adapt an exhibition to the needs of visually impaired people. The problem will be considered on the basis of the case studies which were the part of an agreement between the Army museum in Bialystok and our Faculty. In traditional museums the main principle is the prohibition of touching exhibits. The project goal was to help blind people understand the features of the environment around them through the sense of touch. The novelty of this work is the study of how new digital technologies may improve the perception for the visually impaired. In the paper the method of 3D scanning, modelling and 3D printing will be presented. In conclusion the encountered problems and plans for further action will be discussed.
