摘要
A plasma-statistical model was used to describe collisional and radiative processes involving target ionization, namely, collisional ionization of atoms and incoherent polarization bremsstrahlung. The cross sections of these processes were expressed through the Compton profile of X-ray scattering, for which an approximate similarity law was obtained that allowed a universal (unique for all nucleus charges) description of these phenomena to be given. The suggested approach was shown to provide closer agreement between the calculation results for collisional ionization of atoms with moderate ionization potentials and the available experimental values than that attained with the use of other models. The suggested method was used to reveal the principal parametric dependences of the cross section of incoherent polarization bremsstrahlung. In particular, the velocity of an incident particle (projectile) was found to have an optimal value at which the cross section of the process was maximum, and the region of the predominance of incoherent polarization bremsstrahlung over its coherent analogue was determined.
