SN 1987A: 3D simulations of collision with the ring

摘要
We simulate the collision between the ejecta of SN 1987A and circumstellar material, and calculate the X-ray emission. To reproduce observations, the explosion energy and the number density of the H II region are constrained to be similar to 1.4 x 10(51) erg and similar to 100 amu cm(-3), respectively. The density of the hot spot should be similar to that of the ring (similar to 10(4) amu cm(-3)) to be consistent with the observed X-ray luminosity. In the near future, the blast wave will reach the dense ring, and the ring will be brightened in X-rays becoming more luminous than 10(36) ergs s(-1).
