Evaluation of reliable data transport schemes for mobile ad hoc networks

摘要
Some improved reliable data transport schemes have been reported to solve the issues of TCP performance degradation and packet losses due to bit errors and route failures in mobile ad hoe networks. However, most of them view the network as a black box and ignore the interactive implications among different layers. we propose a new scheme in the system view and compare the advantages and disadvantages of these schemes with our systematic solutions qualitatively. We simulate and evaluate our scheme quantitatively in NS - 2 simulator under different movement patterns and bit error rates. These results from simulation experiments show the advantages of our scheme.
