Complications after hyaluronic acid gel injections - case reports

摘要：
Hyaluronic acid is believed to be non-immunogenic and therefore routine skin testing for allergy is not currently recommended. The aim of this study is to report 4 cases of allergic reactions after intradermal injection of hyaluronic acid gel; patients experienced bruising and erythema at the injection sites, followed by papulo-cystic nodules and permanent scarring. Therefore, patients should be warned of the potential complication when treating facial lines with hyaluronic acid gel.
