摘要：

In this paper we present a Web-based learning tool designed and being used in institution's courses in mixed-mode learning. This mode combines face to face and distance approaches to education. With the light of appropriate theories of learning and e-learning, we describe the components and essential features of our Web-based learning tool, the Learn IN Context System (LINC). Using this tool with some pedagogical efforts one can realize both collaborative and competitive learning. Finally, we report our preliminary experimentation with a language programming course.
