摘要：
This paper will illustrate the advantages obtained when incorporating mica, a lamellar extender, into water-borne anti-corrosive primers for steel. Recent research has identified significant improvements in flesh rust inhibition and overall corrosion resistance when mice is introduced into water-based coatings. Data on the effect of mica an water absorption, water vapour permeability and intercoat adhesion will be presented, together with possible mechanisms to account far these observations.
