摘要
An improved preparation method for carbon supported PtRu catalysts has been developed, by reduction of Pt(IV) and Ru(III), using SDS as stabilizer in ethylene glycol (EG) solution. The results indicate that high loading and high dispersion of PtRu/C catalysts, with the average particle size 2.7 nm, can be obtained by this technique. The morphology, structure, and electrochemical activity of the prepared electrodes have been analyzed by TENT, XRD, and cyclic voltammeter (CV). Compared with the PtRu/C catalysts prepared in traditional EGI solution, the as prepared nano PtRu/C catalysts possess a higher catalytic activity and a better tolerance capacity to CO in direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC).
